Bleed

Bleed is the area that is cut off when cutting the product to its final format. Applies only to projects with a background other than white. To create a bleed, the page format should be enlarged by at least 4 mm in each axis when designing. For example: A4 format 210x297 mm with bleed will be 214x301 mm. By using a bleed, the colored background in the final product reaches to the very edge of the page and no white unprinted edges appear. In the case of hardcover covers or binders, the bleed is 20 mm.
