On Printhub, we use different selections depending on the product category to differentiate each product.

Type

In this field you select the type of product, e.g. number of sheets in a block, number of copies in a set, delivery method, spine width, etc.

Dimensions

In this field you select the finished product dimensions. Depending on the structure of the product, the dimensions provided may consist of two or three values. e.g. (lxh) length x height or (lxhxd) length x height x width. Some products have a custom dimension option available in which we can enter our own values.

Format

We provide popular A formats as well as B formats in vertical and sometimes horizontal orientations. The format and orientation in the case of bound products such as a book or catalog have a significant impact on the execution possibilities. Some processes that are feasible in a portrait format may not be feasible in the same format in landscape orientation due to technical limitations of manufacturing machinery. Raw materials are delivered in standardized formats A, B and sometimes C. Due to economic issues, the sizes of the offered products are optimized so that their production does not generate raw material waste, which generates losses. Please remember that non-standard formats created without taking into account the sheet division of the supplied raw material may generate excess costs due to raw material losses as well as cause various complications during production processes for which production machines may not be adapted. Even 1 cm can make a significant difference in the price of the final product. Before you start designing a book or other complex materials in a non-standard format, we invite you to consult the implementation options with our technical department.
