The forms can be numbered, coded (QR or Barcode), and have holes in any location. The method of collating the sheets can be freely adapted to your needs. We use papers of various weights and colours. What are carbonless pads / forms used for?
Carbonless forms and pads are widely used in many fields where there is a need to generate copies of documents without using photocopiers or scanning devices. Their main applications include:
Accounting: In accounting, carbonless forms are used to create original invoices and simultaneously generate copies for the accounting department and the customer. They make it possible to issue an invoice quickly while retaining the necessary documentation for both parties.
Warehousing - goods receipt and issue confirmations: In warehouses, carbonless forms are used to confirm the receipt and issue of goods. By completing the relevant form, the warehouse employee automatically creates a copy of the document, which can be used for record-keeping and inventory control.
Rental companies: In the car rental, audio/video equipment rental or tool rental industry, carbonless forms are used to prepare rental agreements and generate copies for the customer and the rental company.
Transport - CMR forms: (International Consignment Note) are essential for international road transport of goods. carbonless forms allow the original consignment note to be issued simultaneously and copies to be automatically generated for the vehicle crew and the recipient of the goods. We have ready-made, refined CMR form templates in various languages that we can use for your CMR forms. Direct debit / cash payment: Personalised forms may contain the recipient's pre-filled details, bank account number, payment reference and other fixed information. This means that the person making the payment only needs to complete the missing payer details, which speeds up processing, reduces the risk of errors and facilitates correct payment posting.

How do you prepare artwork for carbonless forms?
For printing carbonless pads, artwork in PDF format must be supplied prepared in a size matching the ordered product. When designing, we recommend using margins of at least 10 mm. The printing house can prepare a pad or form design according to a sample or sketch supplied by the customer.
What types of carbonless pads are available?
Uniform carbonless pads - 100 identical sheets in 1 pad, white paper. This type of carbonless pad is universal; by placing a backing board in the appropriate place, any number of copies can be obtained.
Original + 1 copy carbonless pads - 50 sets / 100 sheets in 1 pad, two paper colours alternating. We print original + 1 copy carbonless pads in the combination of white paper (original) + coloured paper (copy). Copies can be on yellow, pink, blue or green paper.
Original + 2 copies carbonless pads - 33 sets / 99 sheets in 1 pad, three paper colours alternating. We print original + 2 copies carbonless pads in the combination of white paper (original) + 2x coloured paper (copy). Copies can be on yellow, pink, blue or green paper.
Original + 3 copies carbonless pads - 25 sets / 100 sheets in 1 pad, four paper colours alternating. We print original + 3 copies carbonless pads in the combination of white paper (original) + 3x coloured paper (copy). Copies can be on yellow, pink, blue or green paper.
What format can a carbonless pad be made in?
The printing house offers a wide selection of standard carbonless pad formats such as A4, A5, A6, DL or custom formats. For your convenience, the product configurator available on the printing house website offers the possibility to define any pad format at the customer's discretion. When creating a custom pad format in order to obtain a favourable price, the division of an A4 sheet should be taken into account.
How do we print carbonless pads?
We print carbonless pads / forms in black and its shades or in colour on carbonless paper with a weight of 60-80g depending on requirements. As standard, printing is single-sided. The product configurator allows you to order pads in which the sheets are printed double-sided. In the case of uniform pads on white paper, coloured printing will appear correctly. In the case of forms (original + copy) where the copy paper is not white, the print colours will be altered by the substrate colour. For example, blue printing on a yellow copy will result in green, on a pink copy navy blue, etc. If in doubt, please consult the printing house for technical advice.
How are sheets joined in a pad?
We glue carbonless pads along the short or long edge in sets of 100 sheets. The soft glue used allows sheets to be easily torn off without the risk of tearing. The bottom of each carbonless pad is reinforced with cardboard. In the product configurator, you can select an additional card - writing backing board, which we glue as a second card to the bottom of the pad. It allows the sheets being filled in to be separated from the remaining clean part of the carbonless pad.
What additional options are available in carbonless pads?
- 2 or 4 holes for a binder, drilled at fixed spacing allowing the sheets to be placed in a binder.
- numbering of individual sheets with a unique alphanumeric or barcode
- an additional card as a writing separator (glued to the bottom of the pad)
Variable unique code on every carbonless sheet
Individual sheets of a carbonless pad can be marked uniquely, allowing documents to be controlled. The printing house enables carbonless forms to be numbered in various ways.
- Sequential numbering, e.g. from 1 to 1000
- Alphanumeric code - combinations of digits and letters.
- Barcode, which significantly speeds up entering numbering using a scanner.
- QR code in which we can include fixed as well as variable content
Numbering can be carried out by sets (the original and copy have the same code) or individually (each sheet has a different code). The code and numbering can be placed anywhere on the carbonless form.
When using sequential numbering, when ordering we specify only the range and numbering method; the printing house generates the numbering. For individual, unique codes, a file in XLSX format must be supplied.
